What is Cognitive Activity
It can be expressed as simply exercising our brain and mind.
the C.A.P DVD program focuses on these key areas :

Recall
Quizzes, being either written or visual stimulate recall. Looking at pictures whether they be of old movie stars or other personalities, places and things all encourage the use of recall.

Learning
There will always be questions that you don't know the answers to. You are never to old to learn and C.A.P. stimulates learning and promotes discussion and debate.

Reasoning
Visually based puzzles encourage the use of reasoning functions by asking the question “what’s missing ?” or “which is the odd one out ?” for example.

Use it or Lose it !
To get the most out of C.A.P. the emphasis should be on fun and participation! Not right or wrong. Our minds are much like our bodies, the less we use them, the greater the chance of things slowing down.

C.A.P. is designed to promote enjoyment and social interaction in aged care settings between residents of varying abilities. The stimuli being, enjoyment, fun & participation.

C.A.P. produces a new set every 3 months (CAP Six this month, CAP Seven in 3 months
time etc…)
